Chapter 15: The Echo of Time
Li Feng and his wife continued their search through the long river of Time for the memories that belonged to them. They walked along countless familiar roads and visited places they had once been, yet the fragments of their memories remained scattered and blurred.
By chance, they discovered an old-fashioned photo studio tucked away in a corner of the city. The studio seemed like a Guardian of Time, filled with an array of vintage cameras and frames. The proprietor, a man who appeared to be in his seventies, had a face etched with the marks of the years, though his eyes held a glimmer of cunning.
As Li Feng and his wife stepped into the studio, the proprietor smiled at them and asked, "Young people, have you come to seek the memories of your past?"
Li Feng stared at him in surprise, as if his innermost secret had been laid bare. He nodded. The man smiled and led them to a corner where an ancient slide projector sat.
"When I was young, I was a professional photographer," the proprietor said, carefully producing a stack of yellowed photographs. "For all these years, I have been collecting old photos, hoping to use this projector to help people relive those beautiful moments."
Li Feng and his wife watched with rapt attention, attempting to find familiar faces or scenes among the images. Suddenly, one photograph caught Li Feng’s eye. It showed him and his wife embracing and kissing in a sea of flowers, with an ancient clock tower visible in the background.
"Where is this clock tower?" Li Feng asked the proprietor urgently.
The man looked at the photo and smiled. "That clock tower used to be a landmark of this city, but it was demolished decades ago."
Disappointment surged in Li Feng’s heart, but he was unwilling to give up. He decided that he would search for the ruins of the clock tower; perhaps the memories they had lost were hidden there.
They began to search the city for traces of the tower. They walked through countless streets and questioned many people, but no one knew the exact location where the clock tower had once stood.
However, Li Feng did not abandon his quest. He resolved to search for the ruins himself. He believed that as long as he did not give up, one day he would find the answer.
During his search, Li Feng discovered legends about the clock tower. Some said it had once been the oldest building in the city, having witnessed the love and dreams of countless people. Others claimed that on the day it was demolished, the entire city had mourned.

They began searching the area for clues. After much effort, they finally unearthed a massive stone clock buried deep beneath the ground.
Li Feng and his wife gazed at the stone clock, their hearts filled with excitement and anticipation. They began to search the surface for familiar writing, hoping to find the lost memories.
On the clock, they found a section of faded text. It described a story of love and promises, with the protagonists being none other than Li Feng and his wife.
As they read the text, a warm current flowed through them. They had finally recovered their lost memories and reclaimed the happiness that had once belonged to them.
They held each other’s hands tightly, tears sliding down their cheeks. They understood that the significance of this Rebirth lay not only in recovering their memories, but in allowing them to truly know each other again and to cherish one another anew.
From that moment on, Li Feng and his wife began a new life. They decided that no matter how difficult the road ahead might be, they would persist and create their own happiness together.
And that day might be in the not-too-distant future. Li Feng believed that as long as they kept moving forward, they would surely find the happiness that was theirs.
