Even more staggering were the 10,000 shallow-water gunboats with a total weight of one hundred tons. These gunboats were armed with two specially made 80mm naval guns and four 14mm machine guns, boasting formidable firepower. There were also 2,000 Type 037 submarine chasers, 3,000 Type 024 missile boats, and 1,000 450-ton coastal attack craft.
The Type 037 submarine chasers featured a twin 57mm main gun mount, capable of providing continuous and powerful fire support, alongside a 64-tube 122mm rocket launcher capable of inflicting massive damage on the enemy in a short time. In addition, there were 500 580-ton offshore patrol boats.
At the same time, ample space was reserved for engines and fuel to ensure the vessels' sustained combat capability during prolonged operations.
