After emerging from the Space and lying down on the kang, Nan Yu’s heart finally began to settle. To be honest, although a great many things had happened that day, it all still felt like a dream to him. Who could believe that a phenomenon like reincarnation could actually happen to them? Lying in the quiet room, Nan Yu stared blankly at the ceiling. He was almost afraid to fall asleep, worried that if he closed his eyes, everything that had happened that day might vanish upon waking. Yet, as he pondered, Nan Yu gradually drifted off. He had been exhausted; his father had broken his head open early that morning, and then he had spent the rest of his energy giving Li Guihua and her son a beating. He hadn't rested long at noon before heading into the mountains, where he had nearly worked himself to death hauling the Lynx back. Following that, he had planted an entire mu of land in the Space—if not for the fact that time flowed differently inside the Space than it did in the outside world, Nan Yu wasn't sure when he would have finished the work. It was no wonder he had fallen asleep the moment he lay down.
