Under the attentive care of Shang Qing, Ji Xun’s temperature gradually dropped, and his body stopped trembling as it had before. Seeing this, Shang Qing finally let out a sigh of relief. Time drifted by unnoticed, slipping away in the orange-hued glow of twilight. The screen of the phone flickered, its light waxing and waning like stars shimmering in the night sky. Thankfully, the fever had subsided; Shang Qing breathed a sigh of relief. The room was silent, save for the echo of Ji Xun’s rhythmic, light breathing. His sleeping face was calm and soft, his long lashes casting faint shadows across his eyelids. Yet, just as Shang Qing thought he was fast asleep, he murmured a name in his semi-conscious state—"Shang Qing." The voice was blurred and pained, sounding like a call from the deepest part of his heart.
