A chill crept up Zhou Yang’s already soaked back. Sensing something was wrong, Zhou Yang didn't hesitate; he kicked off the makeshift wooden bridge with all his might. He didn't care if the bridge was slippery or if it could still hold his weight; he was inches from the cliff edge and knew the bridge was on the verge of collapse. With a desperate leap, Zhou Yang lunged toward the cliffside. He pressed himself flat against the ground as raindrops drummed rhythmically against him. Feeling the cold, solid rock of the cliff face beneath his cheek, he felt his heart settle a little.
