Early the next morning, May went to wake Ash up so they could start special training. Ash had been sleeping soundly and didn't even make a sound when May first called him. But May wasn't going to let that stop her—she simply asked Pikachu to wake him up. Hit by the electric shock, Ash's sleepiness vanished instantly.
