However, instead of reacting, the Misdreavus flashed a ghostly smile, began gathering energy, and blasted out a Moonblast. Natsuki was caught off guard and froze in terror, but Gardevoir immediately countered with a fast Psychic to cancel out the Moonblast. Even so, the shockwave from the clash blew Natsuki off her feet, sending her crashing to the ground.
Gardevoir used Teleport to appear right in front of Natsuki, shielding her from the strange and aggressive Misdreavus. Though her body ached all over, Natsuki scrambled back to her feet and said to Gardevoir, "I have a feeling that opponent might be one of those two Ninetales in disguise. Now the other Ninetales and Misdreavus are both gone—you need to be careful."
Before Gardevoir could respond, the opponent once again gathered power and fired off a Moonblast. With no time to be distracted, Gardevoir channeled her psychic energy to block the attack. This Moonblast was far more powerful than the last one, and the Mega-Evolved Gardevoir could not dispel it immediately, leaving the two sides locked in a temporary stalemate.
