“Damn it! I actually missed out on such an exciting event!”
Mò Xiǎoqīng’s eyes lit up as she listened. Her face was full of regret, as if she had missed a magnificent drama.
“Alright, I’m starving. Let’s eat first!” Yáng Dàzhuàng said pitifully, rubbing his rumbling stomach.
“I’ve fried two portions of noodles, one spicy and one not. Which one do you want?” Mò Xiǎoqīng asked, taking out two portions of fried noodles from the basket.
“You pick first! I’m fine with either!” Yáng Dàzhuàng said generously.
“Then I’ll have the spicy one, and you can have the non-spicy one!” Mò Xiǎoqīng didn’t stand on ceremony and happily took the spicy noodles.
“Mm…” Yáng Dàzhuàng responded, taking the non-spicy noodles. Without bothering with appearances, he squatted by the roadside and dug in heartily. Mò Xiǎoqīng, meanwhile, sat elegantly on the back of the bicycle, savoring the spicy noodles in her hand and occasionally looking up at Yáng Dàzhuàng with a smile in her eyes.
After they had both eaten their fill, Yáng Dàzhuàng gripped the handlebars, ready to pedal the bicycle forward. Just then, a pink car streaked down the road, followed closely by several vans, pursuing it with menacing intent. In the blink of an eye, two vans suddenly accelerated and cut in front to force the pink car to a halt. Immediately, two vans quickly surrounded the car from the sides, and two more smoothly blocked the rear. This series of actions flowed like water, completely sealing off the pink car’s escape route, leaving no gaps.
“Dàzhuàng, what are these people doing?” Mò Xiǎoqīng asked nervously from the back seat, tugging at Dàzhuàng’s sleeve, her voice laced with fear.
The van doors swung open, and a group of people poured out, each gripping a club. The scene was as if they were about to unleash a bloody storm.
“Hey! Get out!” a bearded man shouted, brandishing his club and menacingly threatening the occupants of the pink car.
Yáng Dàzhuàng couldn’t see clearly into the car at first. He circulated his spiritual power and activated his Heavenly Eye, finally getting a clear view. Inside the car was only one girl – the same one who had bought his honey earlier.
“Oh no, it’s her!” Yáng Dàzhuàng blurted out.
“Dàzhuàng, who is it?” Mò Xiǎoqīng asked anxiously.
“The girl surrounded is the one who bought all my honey…” Yáng Dàzhuàng quickly recounted the process of selling honey to the girl.
“Dàzhuàng… look! There are so many of them! Over a dozen!” Mò Xiǎoqīng exclaimed, her face full of worry as she looked at the group wielding clubs.
“Xiǎoqīng, wait for me here. A mere dozen or so people, I don’t even take them seriously!” Yáng Dàzhuàng’s eyes were firm, and an aura of fearlessness emanated from him.
“Hey, hey, hey…” Mò Xiǎoqīng tried to stop him, but Yáng Dàzhuàng had already shot out like an arrow from a bow, his steps steady and powerful.
Mò Xiǎoqīng gazed at Dàzhuàng’s dashing figure, feeling that he was so handsome she couldn’t look away. Her heart pounded like a startled deer, and she wished she could rush forward and throw herself into his arms.
At this moment, the girl in the pink car was trembling with fear, like a frightened little rabbit, too scared to move.
“You’re not getting out, are you?” the bearded man said angrily, seeing no movement from inside the car. He raised his club high, about to smash it down on the car window.
At this critical juncture, Yáng Dàzhuàng flashed forward, appearing beside the bearded man like a phantom. He extended his hand and, with a scissor-like gesture, precisely clamped onto the bearded man’s club.
“Who the hell are you? Why are you meddling in our business?” the bearded man exclaimed in surprise and anger, trying to yank his club back. But the club was held as if by iron pincers, gripped so tightly by Yáng Dàzhuàng that it wouldn’t budge.
“In broad daylight, over a dozen of you bullying a weak woman. What exactly are you trying to do?” Yáng Dàzhuàng’s gaze was sharp as he coldly scanned the group, his voice booming like a great bell.
“Oh ho! Kid, you think you’re tough, huh!” an afro man said. Without another word, he launched a flying kick at Yáng Dàzhuàng, moving with incredible speed and viciousness.
Yáng Dàzhuàng remained unhurried, a flicker of calmness in his eyes. He steadily reached out and caught the afro man’s flying leg. Then, using the man’s momentum, he threw him like a cannonball towards several other men wielding clubs.
With shouts of “Ouch!” and “Ow!”, the group collapsed like bowling pins, falling to the ground in a tangled heap.
Seeing someone step forward to help, the girl in the pink car, whose face had been pale as paper, gradually regained a little color. She widened her eyes, carefully observing Yáng Dàzhuàng, and murmured to herself, “This person looks so familiar… Oh… it’s that handsome young man who was selling honey just now!” The girl suddenly realized, recalling the scene of buying honey.
“Kid, we have no quarrel with you. Why are you interfering in our business?” the bearded man said, feigning calmness. Although his voice was stern, his heart was already in turmoil from Yáng Dàzhuàng’s displayed combat prowess, beating like a panicked rabbit.
“I’m not just meddling! This girl is my customer. You dare lay hands on my customer,” Yáng Dàzhuàng said, his expression stern, his eyes flashing over the crowd like lightning. “That’s cutting off my livelihood. Don’t you think you deserve a beating? Should I not interfere?”
“Boss, stop wasting words with him! We have more people, and this is our territory. Let’s all go at him!” a tattooed man with a ferocious pattern on his arm shouted, full of defiance. Relying on their numbers, he didn’t take Yáng Dàzhuàng seriously at all.
“Yeah, Boss! Let’s all go!” The other lackeys joined in the clamor, waving their clubs and looking menacing.
Inspired by his subordinates’ "momentum," the bearded man found his courage and ferociously ordered, “All of you, go! Break his arms and legs!”
Hearing this, the girl in the car immediately showed her concern, her beautiful eyes filled with terror and unease. She feared Yáng Dàzhuàng would be harmed while saving her.
Not far away, Mò Xiǎoqīng also watched the scene with a worried expression, her hands unconsciously clenched. She silently prayed for Yáng Dàzhuàng’s safety.
The club-wielding men surrounded Yáng Dàzhuàng. One particularly eager club-wielding man, wanting to show off, shouted impatiently and charged at Yáng Dàzhuàng like a hungry tiger pouncing on its prey.
However, his recklessness was quickly met with failure. Yáng Dàzhuàng flashed his body, effortlessly evading the attack. He then grabbed the man’s leg. The force was so great that the man had no time to struggle. Immediately afterward, Yáng Dàzhuàng swung the club-wielding man like a weapon, whirling him around in his hands.
