The Jiannu have three methods for besieging a city: scaling the walls, mining, and earth-mound construction.
Scaling is the most common method. Under the cover of siege ladders, soldiers rush to the foot of the wall and scramble up the ladders one by one, risking death.
As for mining, it shares a similar logic to Li Zicheng’s siege tactics. The goal is to tunnel into the base of the wall to cause a collapse, then storm the city through the breach.
