Chapter 99: Awakening and Xiao Zi's Transformation
Beside a small stream, a temporarily constructed cabin stood quietly. Its roof was covered with a thick layer of thatch that glittered with golden light under the sun, swaying gently in the breeze and rustling softly.
The grassy area in front of the cabin was overgrown with wildflowers and weeds. Though not particularly stunning, it was full of vitality, each nodding its head in the wind. The stream flowed endlessly downstream, and occasionally one or two small fish would leap from the water, only to be swept away the next instant by an invisible gust of wind, dropping straight into a nearby stone pot that was glowing red-hot.
