Chapter 10

"Jealous? An Ruoxue, do you really think you’re worthy of making me jealous?"
Damn it. Zhouzhou—this woman actually dared to call another man by such an intimate name. Rong Che’s heart burned with a restless, agonizing fury.
"Or did you think that just because I slept with you, it means I like you?"
"I..."
An Ruoxue was struck dumb. She looked down, her clear eyes lowered, not knowing how to continue.
Rong Che’s cold eyes narrowed. "You are nothing but a plaything. Until I tell you to get lost, you’d better behave yourself. An Ruoxue, if you dare to mess around behind my back while holding the title of my woman, I will make sure you die a miserable death."
His cold, sharp gaze held a predatory chill that made An Ruoxue’s slender frame tremble. A moment ago, she had naively believed he was jealous because he’d seen her drinking with Zhouzhou. *Heh...* I suppose she was just too naive, too foolish.
He had never cared for her, so why would he ever be jealous? It was all her own foolish, naive fantasy.
The fleeting sorrow that crossed An Ruoxue’s face did not annoy Rong Che; instead, he found that there was a certain fragile beauty to her sadness.
"What exactly do you want me to do for you to let me go?" An Ruoxue took a deep breath, lifting her pale, flushed face. She suppressed the mist rising in her eyes and asked with a sense of helpless resignation.
Rong Che leaned in, his long, pale fingers hooking her chin and tilting it upward. His deep, dark eyes peered down at her from a position of absolute authority. "You could try pleasing me. Perhaps if I’m in a good mood, I’ll let you roll away."
A biting chill washed over her, and An Ruoxue’s warm heart began to grow cold.
"Rong Che, you can’t treat me like this." Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke each word with firm resolve. "You don’t have to love me, but you cannot trample on my dignity."
"I intend to take that so-called dignity of yours and grind it into the dust beneath my feet."
"You..." An Ruoxue’s heart bled. Looking at Rong Che felt like staring into the jaws of a beast.
"A woman like you, who sold herself for money—what right do you have to talk to me about dignity?"
*Drip, drip...* The tears she had been holding back finally spilled over, unable to contain the pain any longer. Her sorrowful tears slid down her beautiful cheeks, a sight that would break anyone’s heart—yet Rong Che felt not a shred of pity.
"Since you are a plaything, I’ll give you a chance right now to please me." His icy voice cut into her heart like a knife.
"Rong Che, you’re a monster."
"You dare insult me? You’re courting death." Rong Che’s dark eyes narrowed as he flipped her over, his robust frame pinning her beneath him.
"No..." An Ruoxue struggled in distress, but it only earned her a more brutal response from him.
"Mm... ngh."
An Ruoxue panted breathlessly. Having spent four years by his side, she knew exactly what kind of man Rong Che was.
"Um... Young Master Rong, if we’re going to have some fun, why don’t you go take a shower first, and then we can..." An Ruoxue murmured softly, her face slightly flushed.
"Hmph, you cheap woman." Rong Che cursed with disdain. Seeing how quickly she had dropped her pretense only fueled his anger further.
"Young Master Rong, look at us. We’re both drenched in sweat. You should really go wash up," she persisted.
"I’ll go shower. You’d better pull out all the stops to satisfy me, or else I’ll make you wish you were dead."
*Right,* she thought, *always the same threats from Young Master Rong.* An Ruoxue wore a mechanical, flattering smile. "Don't worry, Young Master Rong. I will make sure you are satisfied."
"Hmph." He gave a contemptuous snort, shoved her aside, and strode toward the bathroom.
"I will," she whispered, her wide eyes fixed on him as he walked away.
The moment the door closed, An Ruoxue scrambled out from under the quilt. She wasn't foolish enough to wait on that bed for him to finish showering and return to torment her.
As she reached for her dress on the floor, a flush crept up her face. The garment was in tatters and clearly couldn't be worn. One look at the ruined fabric was enough to tell her just how intense their encounter had been last night.
Sighing in frustration, she grabbed one of Rong Che’s white dress shirts and pulled it on. She quickly stuffed two hundred in cash from his wallet into her palm and tiptoed out the door.
...
*Creak—*
Rong Che finished his shower and pulled open the door with a forceful yank, only to find the expansive bedroom empty. An Ruoxue, who had been curled up on the bed like a silkworm, had vanished.
"An Ruoxue, you have some nerve! You actually dared to play this game of running away from me."
*Bang!* Enraged, Rong Che slammed a heavy fist into the wall, his cold eyes gleaming with murderous intent. No one had ever dared to play him like this!
"Damn it." His dark eyes tightened, and a shadow fell over his stern face. This woman’s audacity knew no bounds.
"Fine. Very well. An Ruoxue, you had better hide somewhere I can never find you, because if I catch you, I will make you pay."
If she had the courage to challenge the authority of Rong Che, she would have to pay a bitter price.
"Achoo—"
Sitting in a taxi, An Ruoxue felt a sudden tickle in her nose and sneezed three times in a row. She rubbed her nose, thinking that Young Master Rong must be cursing her right now. Just the thought of his rage, and how he’d love to see her ground into ash, sent a chill running down her spine.
"Rong Che... that man is truly terrifying."
