An Ruoxue shook her head vigorously. Having consumed a considerable amount of alcohol, her tongue felt somewhat thick when she spoke.
"Hey, woman, spit it out if you have something to say. Are you trying to worry me to death?"
Fang Zhou was An Ruoxue's absolute best male confidant. Apart from her secret marriage to Rong Che, Fang Zhou knew everything about her.
The two of them had grown up together in an orphanage from childhood, and An Ruoxue trusted Fang Zhou implicitly.
"Zhouzhou, Zhouzhou, you are so nagging. I asked you here to drink, and you just keep talking. It's so annoying."
An Ruoxue's watery, expressive eyes narrowed slightly, and she glared at Fang Zhou with displeasure for a moment.
"Here, drink with me."
Acting like a tough cookie, An Ruoxue reached out, grabbed a bottle of beer, and slammed it down heavily in front of Fang Zhou. "Are you even a friend? Are you my best friend or not?"
Looking at An Ruoxue, whose mind was clearly scrambled from heavy drinking, Fang Zhou felt a tingling sensation creep across his scalp. "Yes, yes, we are the best of friends."
Fang Zhou nodded as he spoke.
It was completely impossible to reason with a raging drunk. Since he couldn't get any sense out of her, he might as well just sit back and have a few drinks with this girl. Judging by the fierce way she was chugging alcohol, Fang Zhou could safely conclude that she was deeply unhappy about something right now.
After polishing off several bottles of beer, An Ruoxue became much more talkative, lively, and mischievous.
"Drink, hehe."
Yesterday, today—in the span of just two days, she had experienced the most painful thing in her life. Right now, An Ruoxue just wanted to use alcohol to numb herself.
Once she was drunk, she wouldn't have to think about the man who had broken her heart.

At that moment, a flashy blue Lamborghini pulled up right outside the entrance of Night Color Bar.
"Young Master Rong, after you."
Qiao Zimo unbuckled his seatbelt, a hint of excitement lacing his voice.
"The moment you get back, you're out chasing women. Qiao Zimo, you're going to die in a woman's arms sooner or later."
Rong Che's icy retort didn't anger Qiao Zimo at all; instead, he burst into a hearty laugh.
"How does the old saying go? Better to die beneath the peony flower, a romantic ghost even in death. I'd rather drink myself to death in a land of tenderness."
Qiao Zimo laughed playfully.
"You'll get your wish."
"Thanks for your auspicious words, Young Master Rong, haha."
Reaching out to push the door open, Rong Che stepped out of the car, strode forward on his long, straight legs, and walked into Night Color Bar.

"Dance, Zhouzhou, let's go dance!"
With four or five bottles of beer in her stomach, An Ruoxue's mood flared up under the burning influence of the alcohol. She dropped her glass, took a few wobbly steps, and plunged straight into the dance floor.
"Hey... Xiaoxue, wait for me!"
Seeing this, Fang Zhou hastily dropped his glass and chased after An Ruoxue onto the dance floor. He was already regretting not stopping her from downing those drinks.
"Xiaoxue, you're drunk. Let's stop dancing, and I'll take you home, okay?" Fang Zhou grabbed An Ruoxue's hand, trying to drag this drunken mess away from the dance floor.
However, completely paralyzed by alcohol, An Ruoxue was naturally beyond control. She swung her arm hard.
"I'm not leaving! I want to dance, and you're going to dance too, haha, haha!"
"I smell the scent of a beauty." Qiao Zimo's captivating, peach-blossom eyes scanned the dance floor with burning intensity, resting on the women swaying their soft figures to the pounding music.
His gaze focused, filtering through the colorful strobe lights to scan the beauties swaying on the dance floor one by one, secretly searching for tonight's prey.
"Vulgar." Rong Che cast a disdainful, cold glance, looking completely disgusted as he uttered the word.
"Young Master Rong, look at that woman in the red dress on the dance floor. She's not bad at all—palm-sized face, exquisite and beautiful features, skin like mutton-fat jade with a natural rosy flush."
"A pair of stunning legs that can hook a man's soul. Absolute top tier."
Qiao Zimo's lustful, peach-blossom eyes quickly locked onto the woman in red on the dance floor.
"Young Master Rong, she's mine. Let's get this straight first—don't fight me for her."
"I don't feel like catching any diseases."
Rong Che sneered in disdain at Qiao Zimo, yet his ink-dark eyes involuntarily drifted toward the center of the dance floor.
A flash of fiery red caught his eye. The woman's dress burned like fire, and her graceful figure, coupled with a pair of long, slender legs, instantly drew the gaze of every man on the dance floor.
As Rong Che looked at that flash of fiery red, his dark eyes suddenly tightened, and a layer of frost instantly covered his strikingly handsome face.
"Hehe, a stunner like that must taste extraordinary." Qiao Zimo lifted his foot, preparing to step onto the dance floor, but Rong Che beat him to it and walked in first.
"Hey, hey, Young Master Rong, we agreed you wouldn't fight me for her. What are you..."
Qiao Zimo hurried to lift his feet and follow.
"Xiaoxue, you're drunk, we're not dancing anymore. Come on, I'll take you home." Fang Zhou yanked An Ruoxue's fair wrist, trying to pull the drunken girl out of the dance floor.
"No, I'm not going home! If you want to leave, you leave. I want to dance."
The drunken An Ruoxue paid no heed to Fang Zhou's persuasion.
"Xiaoxue, don't..."
"Let her go."
A deep voice reached their ears, and Rong Che's fierce gaze swept over Fang Zhou's right hand gripping An Ruoxue's wrist, sharp as a knife blade.
If gazes could serve as weapons, Fang Zhou's right hand would likely have been completely hacked off by Rong Che's sharp eye-daggers a second ago.
"Who... who are you?"
This man was simply too terrifying. Even amidst the sweltering heat of the dance floor, Fang Zhou could clearly feel the murderous intent rushing toward him.
"Let her go."
When Young Master Rong repeated the exact same words, the murderous intent in his tone grew a few shades denser. Fang Zhou swallowed hard with tension, his right hand involuntarily loosening its grip on An Ruoxue's wrist.
"Young Master Rong, you said you wouldn't fight me for her..." Qiao Zimo stepped forward, an unpredictable smile playing in his slightly narrowed peach-blossom eyes.
"Shut up."
Rong Che rebuked coldly, grabbed An Ruoxue's wrist, and walked away.
"I'm not leaving, I want to dance!" An Ruoxue jerked her wrist free, threw her right arm around Rong Che's neck, and said with a hazy, drunken expression, "Zhouzhou is a friend, keep me company, dance with me."
"Uh..."
Standing off to the side, Fang Zhou watched helplessly as An Ruoxue clung to Rong Che like an octopus. He wanted to remind An Ruoxue that she had the wrong person, but his mouth opened and closed without a single sound coming out.
"An Ruoxue, have you lost your mind?"
Furious, Rong Che tried to pull An Ruoxue off his body, but once drunk, An Ruoxue possessed astonishing strength.
"Shh... Stop talking, just dance."
An Ruoxue pressed her slender, white finger gently against Rong Che's thin lips, gazing at him through hazy, intoxicated eyes.
Controlled by the alcohol, An Ruoxue was like a passionate butterfly, pressing tightly against Rong Che's athletic body and dancing a wild, intimate dance.
