"Shouldn't be anything else to do tonight."
"Probably not. What's up, Junior?"
"Senior, now that the wall has been scraped, aren't you going to make good on your promise?"
Liu Yiyi said playfully.
"I promised you, but I didn't say I'd kiss you right now."
With that, ignoring Wang Peng's aggrieved look, she bolted out of the classroom.
"Didn't we say we were going to see a movie? I'm going back to change my clothes first. Meet you downstairs at Building 5 in a bit."
Wang Peng hadn't actually expected the senior to kiss him on the spot; after all, they had only made things official a few days ago.
Just thinking about the playful look on her face a moment ago filled him with happiness.
Wang Peng acknowledged her with a hum and hurried off toward the dorms.
Building 3, Room 626.
After taking a shower and changing his clothes, Wang Peng styled his hair in front of the mirror into what he considered a very handsome look, grabbed a bottle of cologne from Ye Chen's desk, and gave himself two spritzes.
He left the dorm and walked toward the building where Liu Yiyi lived.
Building 5, Room 311.
"Ooh, ooh, ooh! Where is our great Miss Liu headed, all dressed up? We agreed to stay single together, and yet you go and hook up with a guy first!"
Zhang Xueyang said with sour envy.
"I'm going to find my little junior."
"Little junior? Are you sure you aren't robbing the cradle?"
Ignoring Zhang Xueyang's teasing, Liu Yiyi finished dressing, stepped out of the dorm, and headed downstairs.
"I wonder if the junior is ready yet."
Just as Liu Yiyi reached the entrance of her dorm, she saw that Wang Peng had already arrived.
She saw him standing downstairs waiting for her, wearing a blue crew-neck sweatshirt, light blue straight-leg jeans, and white Nike sneakers.
Surrounding female students coming and going from the dorm were glancing over at Wang Peng, discussing which major such a handsome guy could be from. A few girls even walked up to ask for his WeChat.
Wang Peng simply told them he had a girlfriend.
Liu Yiyi walked briskly toward Wang Peng and took his hand.
"Let's go, Junior."
Liu Yiyi spoke loudly on purpose, wanting to let everyone else know that this junior was already taken and they shouldn't harbor any ideas about him.
Wang Peng looked at the senior's outfit. It was the same one she had worn on their first meeting: a white tee paired with a knitted cardigan, a tulle skirt with casual shoes, and her hair tied up in a high ponytail.
"Senior looks so pretty. The same outfit always manages to give me a different kind of surprise."
The two of them walked toward the cinema. Chatting and laughing all the way, they soon arrived.
"Junior, what movie should we see? I see *The Wandering Earth* and *Home Coming*—both of them look pretty good."
"Let's watch *The Wandering Earth*. The online reviews for it are quite good right now."
"Alright."
"Hello, *The Wandering Earth*, the earliest screening, please. Back row, middle seats."
Wang Peng said to the cinema staff.
"Sir, hello. The nearest screening starts in 20 minutes, and ticket checks begin 10 minutes prior. Please mind the time."
Wang Peng bought two cups of cola and a bucket of popcorn.
The two sat in the lobby.
Wang Peng held Liu Yiyi's hand while scrolling through Douyin.
Waiting for the ticket check.
………
After Wang Peng and Liu Yiyi finished watching the movie, it was already seven in the evening. After a simple meal together, they decided to head back to their respective dorms to rest.
Today, Liu Yiyi simply felt too tired, so instead of going shopping after dinner, she chose to go straight back to the dorm to sleep.
Downstairs at Building 5.
Watching Liu Yiyi walk back into her dorm, Wang Peng pulled out his phone as he headed toward the bubble tea shop.
[Wang Peng]: What bubble tea do you sons want? @Everyone.
[Wang Dong]: What day is it? Why is Wang Peng proactively offering to buy bubble tea? He must be buying it because of Liu Qing—you guys should all thank Liu Qing.
[Liu Qing]: ???
[Wang Dong]: Pearl milk tea × 3.
After buying the bubble tea and returning to the dorm, Wang Peng found the other three busy playing Honor of Kings.
"Invite me. My Han Xin jungle play is ridiculously good."
"Ugh, forget it. We're not carrying you; you throw too hard."
Despite complaining that Wang Peng was a terrible teammate, they invited him anyway, pulled in another guy from the next dorm, and started a five-person team queue.
"You pick a support first and let us see what you're made of."
Before Liu Qing could finish speaking, Wang Peng abruptly cut him in.
"What support? Watch me pull out Lord Kay for you guys."
Hearing the familiar voice announce "Welcome to Honor of Kings," the group started playing.
At first, they played defensively and farmed. Ten minutes in, their item builds were basically finished, and a few team fights had broken out in the meantime.
At this point, Wang Dong, playing Luban No. 7, used his first skill combined with Flicker and his ultimate to pull all five enemies right into his grasp.
Wang Peng's Lord Kay activated his ultimate, smoothly entering the fray to shred the five enemies down to slivers of health before getting gunned down by the opposing marksman in a glorious sacrifice.
Though Wang Peng wasn't much for League of Legends or CrossFire, he was actually quite good at mobile games.
Looking at the word "VICTORY" on the screen—
"How's that? Pretty badass, right?"
Wang Peng said proudly.
"Speaking of which, what have you been up to lately, Wang Peng? You were gone all day during military training, and you didn't get back until seven or eight in the evening. Half the time, you're nowhere to be found."
"The class assistant gave me leave. She had me go help a senior with some work."
"A senior? Is she pretty?"
"Pretty, yeah. Too bad she's already got a boyfriend."
*Her boyfriend is me,* Wang Peng thought to himself.
Wang Peng's eyelids began to droop.
"I'm done. Going to sleep."
"Don't bail yet! You haven't told us the details!"
As soon as Wang Dong finished speaking, the soft sound of Wang Peng snoring drifted from his bed.
"Looks like he's totally exhausted. Wang Peng doesn't usually snore. Let's keep playing."
Wang Peng had been climbing up and down ladders all day yesterday.
The next day, having gone to sleep relatively early last night, Wang Peng bought breakfast early in the morning and waited downstairs for the senior.
Eating their breakfast on the way, the two walked over to the art studio.
Once they arrived, Liu Yiyi pulled newspapers and paints from the utility room and began mixing colors on the palette.
Wang Peng started folding paper captain's hats out of the newspapers.
After mixing the paint, Liu Yiyi looked over and saw Wang Peng wearing a captain's hat.
"Junior, you're such a goofball."
Hearing the senior speak, Wang Peng placed a hat on her head as well.
"Senior, you're a goofball too."
The two exchanged a smile and got to work.
Following Liu Yiyi's concept from yesterday, they began painting the walls, first coating the entire surface in white before drawing on top of it.
By midday, they had finished painting all the walls.
"Let's go, Senior. The walls are all painted; now we just have to let them air-dry naturally."
"Senior, what are we going to do next?"
Just as Wang Peng finished asking, a voice rang out from outside.
"I wonder how Yiyi is doing, not even letting us come help."
"Could she be secretly dating a junior in the art studio behind our backs?"
At that moment, the classroom door was pushed open and three girls walked in.
Wang Peng recognized one of them—it was the girl who had taken photos of him and Liu Yiyi that night.
*These must be the senior's roommates,* Wang Peng thought.
Liu Yiyi snapped back to reality, a slight flush on her face, and said to Wang Peng—
Wang Peng greeted the three of them.
"Hello, Seniors."
"Hi there. Uh, you guys carry on, we're leaving."
"Let's go, let's go. Don't crowd the doorway." Li Jiaxin urged the other two hastily.
"The ones you just saw were my roommates. I'll introduce you to them properly another time."
"Let's go, Junior. There's nothing much left to do now. Back to the dorms to get some real rest."
"Let's go, Senior."
The two of them walked back toward the dormitories.
Just like before, Wang Peng walked Liu Yiyi back to her dorm before heading back to his own.
