Fu Ying never slept for very long during her afternoon nap. If she slept on her bed, it might last for an hour, but if she dozed off with her head on her desk, she would usually be wide awake again in just over ten minutes.
Waking up, she heard the chatter of people gossiping. It wasn't very loud, but it was still enough to disturb others' sleep. Fu Ying swept her gaze in the direction of the voices and saw two boys sitting in the back row. One looked somewhat familiar, though she couldn't remember his name, while the other, thinner one seemed like a complete stranger. The thinner boy was the first to notice Fu Ying staring at them. He immediately shut his mouth and nudged the other boy, and the two of them stopped talking, looking both indifferent and unconvinced.
Fu Ying didn't dwell on it. Since she wasn't sleepy anymore, she went back to reciting the classical Chinese text she hadn't finished earlier.
