Chapter 3

In short, because Xia discovered the necklace on her neck—a Cursed Tool with storage capabilities that happened to be packed with a wide variety of items—she managed to safely get through that initial, completely helpless period.
Aside from eating, drinking, sleeping, and taking care of basic necessities, Xia, tiny as she was, worked hard to train herself, both in the manipulation of Cursed Energy and in the enhancement of her physical conditioning.
By the time she could completely walk, move, and run under her own power, Xia was one year old.
When winter passed, the location where she found herself was situated not far from a beautiful forest—a primeval forest rich in all sorts of resources (of course, it wasn't massive in area, but it was certainly enough to sustain a single person).
Skillfully wielding Cursed Energy with ease, and using another blade-shaped Cursed Tool she had found inside the storage tool, Xia instinctively built herself a small wooden cabin. Every single piece of interior furnishing and decoration was readily available within the Cursed Tool.
Thus began her lonely journey of survival.
Time flew by, and six years passed in the blink of an eye.
Throughout these six years, even though she was completely by herself, Xia trained herself diligently.
Now six years old, she possessed an incomparably vast amount of Cursed Energy. Day after day of grueling training had finally brought her physical capabilities to an even more terrifying level, and her own Innate Technique finally awakened.
That original necklace—the one with the azure gemstone that looked so much like the Six Eyes—did indeed originate from the Gojo family. More accurately, it was one of their family's ancestral heirlooms and a symbol of the clan: a Special Grade Cursed Tool named Cangyun.
Aside from functioning as a storage Cursed Tool, it also possessed auxiliary abilities: it could unconditionally double her Cursed Energy once a day for a duration of one minute, and it granted the power of absolute defense once a day for a time limit of ten seconds.
With the enhancement of her Cursed Energy, the innate power of her eyes had long since been fully mastered, along with the Limitless Technique.
This included the Cursed Technique Amplification: Blue, Cursed Technique Reversal: Red, and Hollow Technique: Purple.
Only when her true Innate Technique awakened did Xia realize that her new identity was anything but ordinary.
She had harbored doubts before, assuming that her pair of Six Eyes and the inherent power of the Limitless Technique constituted her Innate Technique. Yet a faint, indefinable, and bizarre sensation had caused her to reject that hypothesis, leaving the doubts in her heart unresolved.
Xia's Six Eyes were a gradient of azure and ice blue, with faint, shifting clouds shimmering right where the shades of blue converged.
This was a mutation.
This mutation allowed her to fully harbor the powers of the Limitless Technique without them acting as her own Innate Technique.
And when Xia awakened her Innate Technique, she realized that she had been oversimplifying things.
Were these two enthusiastic dogs really real?
With their cute black-and-white appearances, who would have thought that when facing Cursed Spirits, they could crush them into pieces with a single crunch?
Moreover, their true identities were far from simple.
They were none other than the initial Shikigami of the Ten Shadows Technique: the Divine Dogs, Black and White.
For some reason, Xia's own Innate Technique was not the standard Ten Shadows Technique; it had likewise undergone an unknown mutation.
To be more precise, its true name should be called "Twins: Light and Shadow Accompanying."
The Ten Shadows Technique was merely the power of the shadow within it.
This was just the tip of the iceberg of its true power.
Deeper powers were still waiting to be unlocked.
Still, these two Divine Dogs alone were enough to provide a pleasant surprise.
"Black, White, from now on, the cleanup of the Cursed Spirits in this surrounding area is left to you two." Xia stroked the two little puppies, her lips registering thirty-seven degrees Celsius while uttering such chilling words.
Heaven knows how aggrieved she felt inside.
This was a high-risk world, and Xia, endowed with the talent of a Jujutsu Sorcerer, had naturally awakened Cursed Energy. This meant that from that very moment onward, she could see those disgusting Cursed Spirits tainted with all sorts of Lovecraftian elements. Moreover, even a single glance would draw the attention of these disgusting little creatures, causing them to lock onto her.
Talent was one aspect; being driven to such a degree was entirely another.
For some unknown reason, the concentration of Cursed Spirits in this era was universally high.
Perhaps it really was because of the deep mountains and old forests, or perhaps it was the influence of other factors—Xia had even briefly suspected it was caused by the Tengen realm.
However, what could someone as small as her possibly do?
Not only was she entirely unfamiliar with the surroundings, but there was also no trace of human habitation within a hundred thousand miles of this place.
At the very least, there were some small animals and various material resources sufficient for survival, but as for anything else, it was simply indescribable.
Forget it, I might as well just give up for now, Xia thought to herself. In truth, she abandoned the idea of searching for a human settlement and decided to focus all her energy on growing stronger first. Once she became strong enough, flying a hundred thousand miles in a second would be a breeze.
