At the Abyss Entrance, the City of Hope was filled with a tragic atmosphere. Monsters had already broken into the city, and severed limbs and broken bodies could be seen everywhere. Although most low-tier professionals had evacuated, a few members of the Town-Demon Army voluntarily remained at the rear to guard the passage, fighting to the death without retreating.
All of these people had died in battle, along with some of the high-tier professionals. The remaining twenty-plus people used a formation to hold out in a fortress, resisting desperately.
The monster bosses were divided into two groups, surrounding the fortress and launching wave after wave of attacks. One side included Corpsefire, Bishibosh, Blood Raven, Rakanishu, Treehead Woodfist, the Countess, and Bonehew.
