After the Christmas holidays, Cyrus and Severus never crossed paths again. Both tacitly avoided each other. Cyrus now had preparations to make, and she went alone to the fourth floor at night.
Using music to hypnotize the three-headed dog guarding the entrance, the obstacles set up by the various teachers proved hardly difficult for her. Passing through the final door shimmering with fire, the Mirror of Erised came into view. Without lingering to gaze into the mirror, she simply understood the nature of all the challenges and left, heading straight for the Headmaster's office.
Cyrus arrived at the door of the Headmaster's office and greeted the gargoyle: "Could you please call the old man eating candy inside for me, thank you."
