Sirius stood up and glared at Snape. "Snape, what right do you have to blame Harry and the others? They were only concerned about their friend. Surely a friend has the right to understand what's going on?!"
Snape glared at Sirius, spitting out each word through clenched teeth. "And what right do *you* have to speak of her?"
A hand pulled the two apart as Cyrus draped an arm over Snape's shoulder, swaying unsteadily on his feet. "Oh dear, I've had a bit too much to drink. Severus, walk me back. You lot carry on—Remus, keep an eye on Sirius."
