Snape stood before the Slytherin students, using only a glare to keep them in line. His sharp eyes softened just a fraction as they swept over Cyrus. The night air was biting, and several students huddled together for warmth, yet Cyrus felt comfortably warm. The two of them had secretly cast Warming Charms on each other. Suddenly, the surface of the Black Lake churned, creating a massive whirlpool. A vast vessel, resembling the skeletal remains of a sunken shipwreck, rose from the depths. The students and faculty of Durmstrang had arrived.
