Since Whitt had not yet reached the age of eleven, his accidental magic had not yet manifested, and Cyrus and the others did not force him to use magic. Occasionally on weekends, they would take Whitt to visit the neighboring Hogsmeade village. Although Whitt would claim he disliked childish candies and toys, he would still wear a happy expression after accepting the gifts Cyrus bought for him.
Barty Jr.'s memories had been sealed by Cyrus, turning him back into Voldemort's most loyal servant. To prevent him from launching an attack on Cyrus or those around her before the tournament, Cyrus warned Whitt never to leave the sight of Salazar or herself.
