Baituan was swept out of the cave dwelling, rolling five times in a row before steadying himself. He bounced up in one smooth motion, looked back to see that the Ancestor's cave dwelling had directly raised its protective barriers, scratched his ear, and turned around to go show off to Bai Jin—he was about to go out on a journey of experience with the Immortal. Bai Jin was indeed rather envious, but looking at his own three tails, then at Baituan's four tails, and sensing the aura radiating from him that was stronger than his own, he knew that this was not something he could envy away. With a roll of his fox-like eyes, he immediately recommended himself: "Baituan, since Immortal Jian is leaving, is she coming back? If she isn't coming back, doesn't Baiqiu Peak need someone to manage it? Do you think I'd do?"
Baituan hadn't expected Bai Jin to harbor this intention, and said rather aissisously, "Although Baiqiu Peak is in our fox territory, everything on the mountain was planted by Immortal Jian herself. Especially the immortal fruit orchard halfway up the mountain—that's really good stuff."
Bai Jin immediately pulled out the treasures he had accumulated: a few pieces of Immortal Stone, a somewhat withered immortal grass, and a fox tooth he had shed himself. Not a single thing was something Baituan could look down upon; his standards were very high now.
