When it came to the Fight Club in the Underworld, Shen Wan had to admit it left quite a deep impression on him, though compared to the Genius Society, those impressions were almost entirely negative. Apart from being a location featured in events during the early versions of the game, the most crucial part was a rather tragic side quest. Roughly speaking, a man whose wife and child passed away due to poverty began fighting frantically in the club, even going so far as to wear the armor of a Fragmentum monster, the Everwinter Shadewalker, simply to boost his combat prowess, earn more prize money, and deliver supplies to a bunch of suffering unfortunates. The ultimate result was that he was consumed by the monster's armor, transformed into a new Everwinter Shadewalker, and sent off to bliss by the protagonist—with his good deeds only coming to light among the protagonist's party after his death. Armed with these facts, along with the information gathered from doing the side quests and the rather limited interactions with the Fight Club boss Scott during events, Shen Wan was fully prepared to brand the club owner a capitalist. As a youth of the new century, Shen Wan held him in utter contempt. But to be honest, in this oppressive Underworld, it was quite normal for a bit of darkness to breed; moreover, the existence of the Fight Club objectively provided a certain amount of entertainment for the Underworld residents.
