Ye Yun was just about to check the specific function of the otherworld guest invitation letter when Stelle suddenly poked her head out from behind the sofa and patted Ye Yun on the shoulder.
"Ye Yun!"
Ye Yun turned around to see Stelle with one hand on his shoulder and holding the can of surströmming she had drawn earlier in the other.
"Ye Yun, can I put some stuff in your fridge?"
Hearing this, Ye Yun readily agreed.
"Sure, just don't put anything with a really strong smell in there."
Stelle looked at the can of surströmming in her hand. This should be fine, right? It didn't smell like anything at all while sealed.
With Ye Yun's permission, Stelle darted over to the refrigerator and placed the surströmming into the pocket dimension.
Stelle felt around her waist; she still had her bat.
Stelle made a motion to stuff it inside as well, but March 7th quickly stopped her.
"Stelle, you'd better leave that bat out of this. Just find somewhere random to set it down."
Stelle thought about it and decided March 7th made a good point.
"Fine."
Stelle looked around and stood the bat up near the doorway.
Meanwhile, Ye Yun was currently checking the information on the otherworld guest invitation letter.
[Otherworld Guest Invitation Letter
Effect: Upon use, invites a guest from another world.]
The description was extremely simple—just a plain, unadorned sentence. It was almost a letdown given how much Ye Yun had been looking forward to it.
Ye Yun took it out and, following the system's prompt, channeled a sliver of his own power into it.
The next second, the invitation was activated, turning into nothingness and dissolving away.
.........
The Teyvat continent, Mondstadt's Falcon Coast.
Lumine, a traveler from beyond Teyvat, and her traveling companion, Paimon, were chatting as they walked.
"Lumine, hurry up! We're almost at the Statue of the Seven!"
Paimon flew ahead, waving at Lumine and urging her to move faster.
Lumine quickened her pace to catch up with Paimon.
The two of them walked onward until, just as they climbed up a cliff, an envelope with wings flew straight toward them.
Paimon looked at the envelope in curiosity.
"Lumine, look! What is that? A flying envelope?"
Lumine looked up; the envelope had already reached her.
The envelope didn't linger, flying right into Lumine's hands.
Lumine picked up the envelope and opened it.
The moment the envelope was torn open, a portal appeared right in front of them, giving Paimon a huge fright.
"Eek—what is that?!"
Lumine drew her Dull Blade and gazed warily at the portal.
After a standoff lasting several minutes without anyone emerging from the portal, Lumine cautiously shifted her feet and crept closer to it.
Paimon was still terrified of the portal.
"Lumine, be careful."
Lumine nodded and slowly reached out toward the light emanating from the portal.
Just as Lumine's hand touched the glowing light, a sudden suction force caught her, and her whole body was pulled straight into the portal.
Seeing this, Paimon panicked completely.
"Lumine! Can you hear me? Lumine! What should I do?!"
Paimon stared at the portal, made up her mind, and with a burst of speed, flew straight into it.
..........
Inside Ye Yun's shop.
March 7th stood next to the portal, looking left and right.
"Ye Yun, when are the people on the other side coming? It's been forever, and this door hasn't even budged."
Stelle chimed in from the side.
"Exactly, exactly! Are you sure this isn't a fake door?"
Himeko, Welt, and Dan Heng were also quite interested.
Having just heard Ye Yun say that a guest from another world would be arriving, the three of them were full of anticipation and wanted to see what someone from another world looked like.
Ye Yun took a gentle sip of the tea in his cup and said unhurriedly,
"Don't rush, it won't be that fast."
Just as Ye Yun finished speaking, the portal emitted a faint glow.
The next second, Lumine and Paimon flew out one after the other.
Stelle and March 7th didn't have time to react and were knocked straight to the floor by Lumine and Paimon.
"Ouch!"
Lumine opened her eyes in a daze. Where was this...?
It looked like a shop... and outside this shop was a starry sky.
A starry sky!
Lumine jolted fully awake. This was actually beyond Teyvat!
At that moment, a fit of coughing came from beneath Lumine.
"Ahem, ahem~ Miss, do you mind getting up? You're crushing me."
Lumine looked down to see a pink-haired girl pinned beneath her, coughing continuously.
Lumine quickly scrambled up.
"I'm sorry! Excuse me!"
With that, Lumine hurriedly helped March 7th up, her eyes sweeping over her with a concerned look.
"Are you alright?"
March 7th caught her breath.
"I'm fine, I'm fine. I didn't think Ye Yun's door was actually real, and that someone would really come through."
Stelle had managed to get back up by then as well. She had only been knocked over because Paimon was flying with quite a bit of momentum. Now, she had easily picked herself back up.
As for Paimon... the little creature was currently sprawled on the sofa with dizzy spirals spinning in her eyes.
"Hello, what's your name?" Stelle asked Lumine.
With the God of Mischief's mouth out of commission, Lumine had to introduce herself.
"Hello, my name is Lumine, a traveler."
Hearing this, Stelle and March 7th introduced themselves as well.
"Hi there! My name is March 7th, a Nameless."
"Hello, hello! I'm Stelle, the galaxy's renowned galactic bat-wielder."
At that moment, Ye Yun walked over.
"Hello, Lumine. Welcome to my shop.
As you can see, this isn't Teyvat. This is another world."
Lumine looked Ye Yun up and down.
"Hello, hello."
Stelle patted Ye Yun on the shoulder.
"Lumine, he's the one who invited you here."
Hearing the word "invited," Lumine felt extremely awkward.
Invited? Are you sure you invited her here?! She was clearly dragged here by force!
If she weren't on his turf right now, she'd show him a beating!
Seeing Lumine's slightly ticked-off expression, Ye Yun was a bit puzzled.
He and Lumine had only just met; he hadn't offended her, had he?
Thinking back, Lumine seemed to have literally flown right out of the portal just now... Wait! Could it have something to do with that?
Ye Yun hurriedly asked the system, and only then did he figure it out.
Good grief, System, this isn't an invitation anymore—this is kidnapping!
Ye Yun smiled awkwardly. Better just keep the process moving.
"Lumine, I invited you here to have you purchase items from my store.
I have everything you could ever want here. If you can think of it, I have it."
Hearing this, Lumine looked at Ye Yun suspiciously.
Ye Yun said,
"You won't believe me no matter how much I talk. You can go see for yourself.
See that touchscreen by the counter? It displays the goods I have for sale. You can go take a look.
Oh, right, let me mention this: I only accept 'Credits' here. Barring any accidents, you should be able to exchange Primogems for them."
Things in the Honkai: Star Rail universe that could be converted into Credits were Stellar Jades. Judging by that, in the Teyvat universe, it would probably be Primogems—most likely.
Hearing this, Lumine thought about it. It wouldn't hurt to try; what if this guy was telling the truth?
If it was true, wouldn't she be able to find a quick way to restore her powers?
Only after recovering her powers could she search for her brother more easily.
With that, Lumine walked toward the small bar area.
