Chapter 3

Floating in a dreamlike, ethereal void, a sword roams freely among the stars. Clad in white, stepping through snow into a turbid world, how can a demon-lord disturb your peace?
A brilliant, seven-colored radiance tore through the firmament, and in the blink of an eye, it emerged in the celestial beyond.
Amidst the mist and dreamlike haze, a young man in white stood poised. He stood proudly in the void, his elegant and refined silhouette wandering alone through the abyss of heaven. Surrounded by shimmering light, he looked like an exiled immortal. Behind him, radiant divine brilliance intertwined, converging into rings of starlight, making him appear like a glowing deity.
"Thank you, Sansheng Xue'er! Leave the rest to me."
The voice was as calm as water, yet like a pebble breaking the surface of a lake, it instantly sent ripples spreading outward.
Sansheng Xue'er was startled for a moment, then overwhelmed with joy. Her stunning, beautiful face bloomed like a flower in full spring, a sight to lose oneself in.
"Brother Chen, this is wonderful... I knew you would succeed!"
"Indeed. Although my lifespan has been restored, it feels as if everything must start anew."
"It doesn't matter, Brother Chen. As long as you are alive, there is hope! I believe that one day, you will stand at the peak of the myriad worlds once again!"
"Very well! Then let us strike this demon down together!"
Sansheng Xue'er nodded gently. In a trance, a burst of radiance rose from the ground, enveloping her graceful form.
"Hum—"
As the seven-colored light gradually dissipated, the Three-Life Sword hung silently in the void, radiating a terrifying, supreme sword aura. Upon its blade, profound Dao patterns evolved ceaselessly—beasts, birds of prey, flora and fauna, mountains and rivers... all the laws of the world reflected upon it.
"Hahaha! You brat, did you think that by completing the soul-transfer, I would have no way to deal with you?"
"Oh? I heard you were looking for me?"
With one step, the young man shifted a thousand feet, standing proudly before the dark clouds.
"I just don't understand—what could Shentu Yaoyao possibly see in a wretch like you? I really don't know what kind of ability you have!"
"Oh? So, after all that, you're just a little fanboy of my Yaoyao? What a coincidence. Could it be that I'm just better-looking than you?"
No wonder this fellow had risked being obliterated by the laws of heaven just to chase him to this realm. It had to be said that these Heavenly Demon Generals possessed a fair amount of guts and blood. Unfortunately, in the end, he would likely end up with nothing.
"Argh! You’re infuriating! You truly have no shame..."
(Ye wanted to retort, but didn't know how; after all, looks aside, the fact remained that Shentu Yaoyao liked Qin Xingchen!)
"Oh? Getting worked up, are we? I love it when you look like you're about to die of rage, yet you can't do a single thing about me!"
"I might as well tell you the truth: if I were to look back, you wouldn't even be a speck of dust in Yaoyao's eyes."
Qin Xingchen continued to exercise his talent for psychological warfare, launching a relentless mental assault on Ye Luotian.
"Argh! You’ve infuriated me to the core! Brat! I’m going to butcher you!"
In truth, the words were simple and unintentional, but to someone who had taken them to heart, they were like a bone-scraping blade, piercing deep into the marrow.
"Heh, what’s this? Getting impatient? Even your ancestor is no match for me! Where do you get the courage to run wild here? Is your life so tiresome to you?"
The young man in white glanced at the swirling mass of demonic black clouds, his brilliant starry eyes filled with nothing but disdain.
"Honestly, I don't even have the mood to glance at trash like you twice."
"Brat, if you are trying to provoke me, then congratulations—you have succeeded!"
Within the black mist, a terrifying blood-colored skull slowly opened its mouth, emitting a strange, hoarse laughter that rang out like a tolling, broken bell.
"Now, I will let you understand what happens when a Heavenly Demon rages—bodies will litter the earth by the millions!"
"Heh, is that so? You seem quite confident. But you won't have that chance."
Qin Xingchen’s white robes fluttered, his gaze cold. As he spoke calmly, a surge of overwhelming battle intent erupted from him.
"Since you dared to come here alone, you should be prepared to perish at any moment!"
