Shang Qi swept his gaze across the figure before him—a Caucasian youth whose bizarre appearance was enough to bring a smile to anyone's face. The youth wore a black priest's cassock, over which he had casually draped a Buddhist kasaya, while a massive string of garlic hung awkwardly around his neck. In his left hand, he tightly clutched an antique Bible with a slightly aged cover, and in his right, he held aloft a silver crucifix. Most absurdly of all, he wore a traditional Zhuangzi scholar's cap on his head. That classic Chinese headwear, paired with his Caucasian face and bizarre attire, looked utterly incongruous.
