At noon, a sumptuous feast was prepared within the Kirin Pavilion of Zhou Tieyi. Though fasting pills could replenish one's nutrients, nothing comforted the body and mind quite like delicious food. Having successfully opened his Dantian Qi Sea, Zhou Tieyi no longer needed to purify his internal organs. Watching his son eat with such gusto, Mother Zhou also partook in some vegetarian dishes; she usually relied on fasting pills to maintain her needs. Keeping her internal organs pure was conducive to Taoist cultivation; although reaching the Upper Three Ranks was a distant dream, the habit of long-term practice remained.
Zhou Tieyi stopped eating when he was about half full, then proceeded at a more leisurely pace. "By the way, Mother, I’ve heard that Taoism possesses a wondrous art known as the 'Art of Qi Observation'."
"That art does indeed exist," Mother Zhou replied with a nod.
