At the very top of the Train Chamber of Commerce building, high above the dream world, reality and illusion existed in a blurred state. Boundless Mirage Qi surged forth from the dream, veiling everything in a hazy, ethereal mist. Within this mist, a colossal, full Bright Moon hung suspended, casting reflections of Zhou Tieyi’s terrifying display: shifting earth into land and transforming Qi into rivers.
It seemed as though the entire universe changed at Zhou Tieyi’s whim. Only the giant black-and-white lotus beneath him created a boundary between reality and fantasy, allowing one to distinguish between a dream and the waking world.
Sun Chenglong and Deng Xuehu had regained their clarity by now. First, Zhou Tieyi had demonstrated the Buddhist concept of the "other shore," rooted in emptiness and non-existence; then, the Taoist method of "mediating creation," rooted in the Taiji, transforming non-existence into existence; and now, the Confucianists’ "Descent of the Five Emperors," which evolved the chaotic yin-yang of the Taiji and allowed the Human Dao to participate in the cycle of yin and yang, thus giving rise to all things and creating the mountains, rivers, heaven, and earth before them.
