Isis held feelings of affection for Suchen, yet this affection was laced with a fierce personality and immense strength. Even so, Suchen's understanding of Isis prevented him from easily accepting her emotions. He understood that their principles and backgrounds had fundamental differences, and falling for her too easily would mean taking enormous risks. Suchen refused to put himself in danger merely out of a momentary emotional impulse. When Isis stepped close to him and softly confessed her love, Suchen's attitude was blunt. He wore a look of disgust and cut her off immediately: "Stop right there, don't play that game." She knew his concerns, but at the same time, she was not willing to give up easily.
