In the blink of an eye, the national college entrance examinations concluded, and school life was drawing to a close. On the final evening of graduation, the campus was no longer bustling with noise. Only the last lingering rays of sunlight dyed Lika's cheeks red, while thousands of students bid farewell to one another.
Lika stood beneath a cherry blossom tree on campus. A fine drizzle drifted down, dampening the hem of her skirt and the tips of her hair. At that moment, she sensed a familiar presence approaching from behind.
Lika turned around to see Suchen, her deskmate of three years and also her boyfriend, standing right beside her. Suchen held up a transparent umbrella, shielding her from the falling rain.
