Seeing the crowd’s attitude toward Shen Man do a complete one-eighty, Lu Jinwen poked Huo Changyue’s arm, clearly annoyed. "Sister, look at these people—they don’t understand anything at all! It’s obvious Shen Man was trying to kick Huo Li to death!" Huo Changyue didn’t respond. She found herself partially agreeing with Lu Jinwen, yet not entirely. As she watched Huo Li’s growing excitement, she felt a strange, nagging sensation that the crowd might actually be right. Perhaps Huo Li had truly wanted to come out and play on his own? He was so stubborn, after all—could Shen Man really have forced him out against his will? With this thought, Huo Changyue’s tense nerves relaxed significantly, though her eyes remained fixed on Huo Li. Changzheng wasn’t home, so she had to help keep an eye on the children; playing was fine, but they couldn't be allowed to get hurt.
