Outside the Devil's Den and the Burial Earth, Luosa sat cross-legged, absorbing and exhaling demonic qi. He had already sent the Giant Spirit God and the others out of the Devil's Den, and even the Huanhuang Empress had been sent out by him to seek revenge on the Fairy Pavilion.
It was not that Luosa had suddenly attained spiritual enlightenment and lost interest in women, but rather that he feared his Dao heart would be thrown into chaos by beauty over the next eighty thousand years. The situation he faced was far graver than he had previously imagined.
"Alas, if this goes on, how am I to face the Three Disasters and Six Calamities? It may well be that the day I leave the Devil's Den will be the day I die," Luosa murmured with a heavy sigh as he opened his eyes. He had learned far too many ancient secrets from the lips of the Huanhuang Empress.
Even the simplest of the Three Disasters and Six Calamities—human-induced calamity—was harder than he had expected. That mysterious woman who had eliminated the Underworld Emperor was likely a cultivator beyond the Heavenly Tribulation.
Cultivating now was no simple matter for Luosa, because the Devil's Den was a fragment of a world that had fallen into the Taixuan Realm, and its Laws were completely different from those of the Taixuan Realm.
This meant that although the Giant Spirit God and the others had lived in the Devil's Den for tens of thousands of years and had greatly extended their lifespans through the power of the Devil's Den, their actual strength was not much different from when they had first entered. It was for this very reason that Luosa was entirely unable to cultivate the Combat Art.
As long as he remained within the Devil's Den, he could not cultivate any techniques of the Taixuan Realm. And since his physical body existed by virtue of the Devil's Den, even if he were to leave, he would only be able to cultivate a small fraction of techniques.
It was at this moment that understanding dawned on Luosa, finally explaining why the number of techniques he had intercepted from the future was so pitifully small, and why they were all unorthodox—he simply could not walk the righteous path!
Right now, Luosa placed all his hopes on the *Taixuan Scripture*. This was a Supreme Codex capable of governing a world; although its contents were infinitely profound and obscure, the fact that he could intercept it from the future meant that his future self was capable of cultivating it.
Yet the same problem remained: the Taixuan Scripture could not be cultivated within the Devil's Den. He could only wait for someone to pry open his coffin and corpse-lift him, allowing him to cultivate after entering the Taixuan Realm.
Luosa returned once more to the Blood Sea to seal his physical body, using his spiritual consciousness to contemplate *Forty-Nine* and *Taixuan God-Refining*. Aside from the Demonic Zombie Body, these were the only two things left that could enhance his foundation.
Unnoticed, another ten thousand years slipped away. Luosa, slumbering in the Blood Sea, was startled awake once more. His avatar burst forth from the Blood Sea and soared into the air, only to be met by a towering, ten-thousand-foot sword suspended in the void. Before he could react, he was blasted back down into the Blood Sea by the giant sword.
Luosa's nervous system was flooded with the agony of his flesh being torn apart, but his spiritual mind was now immensely powerful. With merely a muffled groan, he commanded the Blood Sea to reassemble his shattered body.
The next instant, the Blood Sea churned, transforming into a giant hand that shattered the void and struck the giant sword with a single palm, tearing the sword and space asunder. Only then did Luosa reappear, confronting a golden figure on the edge of the Blood Sea.
Luosa frowned slightly. He could not sense the slightest trace of living breath from his opponent; it was as though a golden statue were standing there. He executed the Forty-Nine technique in an attempt to deduce the other's identity, only to find a realm of absolute chaos.
"Who are you? Why attack me?" Luosa demanded, fixing a piercing glare on the figure.
The little golden figure remained silent. Its body, cast of gold, moved with the agility of a living creature. It executed an art to drive the giant sword in a fierce assault, its tyrannical might sweeping across heaven and earth as it shattered the blood hand and struck at Luosa once more!
This unreasonable attack infuriated Luosa. With a wave of his hand, boundless demonic qi converged—within the Devil's Den, he was the supreme Sovereign!
As the power of the Devil's Den encroached, the giant sword instantly shattered. No divine weapon or precious treasure could ever resist a world, even if that world was merely a fragment.
Without diminishing the power in his hand, Luosa saw that since the intruder harbored hostility, he could not be allowed to live. With a single punch, the demonic qi roared, crushing the little golden figure into pieces with the force of a decaying wildfire!
"Humph," Luosa grunted coldly, turning back to return to his cultivation in the Blood Sea. But catching a sudden movement from the corner of his eye, he looked back and discovered something writhing among the fragments of the little golden figure. He flew over to investigate and found a tiny black loach wriggling about.
"What the hell?" Luosa blinked, staring closely before his eyes widened in shock. This was no loach; it was clearly a miniature black dragon!
It was merely ten centimeters long, its tiny dragon horns and claws resembling six small bumps, which was why he had mistaken it for a loach at first glance. But how could a black dragon be inside the little golden figure?
On Earth, the dragon was a symbol of Chinese auspiciousness, whereas the black dragon represented disaster. Yet dragons on Earth were mere legends, while in the Taixuan Realm, dragons were real divine beasts capable of summoning wind and rain from birth, possessing immensely powerful strength.
Now, a golden figure had inexplicably attacked the Blood Sea, and then a black dragon had emerged from within the golden figure. What was going on here? Luosa attempted to deduce the truth, but found only chaos. He could not help muttering to himself that this black dragon must have an extraordinary background, given that some mighty expert had concealed its heavenly secrets.
Gazing at the black dragon with a flickering gaze, Luosa pondered for a long time before finally reaching a decision. He scooped up the black dragon and vanished into the distant sky.
Three thousand years passed in the blink of an eye. Outside the Dragon-Burial Valley, a Forbidden Land of the Devil's Den, a tall and handsome youth materialized and bowed respectfully to Luosa. "Master, I have integrated the energy of the Dragon-Burial Valley, fused my bloodline divine ability with the Law of Death, and successfully stepped into the Heavenly Tribulation Peak Realm."
Luosa nodded, then said, "Three thousand years have passed. It is time for you to enter the Taixuan Realm and unravel the mystery of your origins, Black Dragon King."
The Black Dragon King bowed with cupped hands and replied, "Master has treated me like a son, and I wish only to remain by Master's side forever. As for this mystery of my origins, it matters not if it is never solved!"
Luosa was exceedingly pleased with this reaction. After all, the Black Dragon King was someone he had nurtured since childhood; not only had he intercepted the *Demonic Dragon World-Extinction Codex* from the future to aid his cultivation, but he had also placed great emphasis on his moral integrity and character.
Whether it was the Dragon-Burial of twenty thousand years ago or the Huanhuang Empress of ten thousand years ago, though they obeyed Luosa's commands, it was because they depended on the Devil's Den for survival and had no choice in the matter. The Black Dragon King, however, felt a heartfelt respect and gratitude, making him far more trustworthy than them.
"A black scale is never a creature of a mere den; the moment it enters the Taixuan, it transforms into a dragon. Go." Luosa felt a pang of reluctance toward the Black Dragon King—after all, three thousand years of affection were not easily cast aside. Yet Luosa desperately needed forces outside of himself if he was to stand a chance of surviving the threat of the Three Disasters and Six Calamities.
Watching the Black Dragon King's retreating figure vanish from the Devil's Den, Luosa felt a bitter ache in his heart. "Once you enter the Taixuan Realm, you must rely entirely upon yourself. I only hope that when I step into the Taixuan, you are still alive..."
Time is ruthless and the years hard to measure. Forty thousand, fifty thousand, eighty thousand years... Luosa was startled awake time and time again, only to sink back into slumber time and time again. He had lost count of how many backup plans he had prepared, yet he still lacked confidence against the Three Disasters and Six Calamities.
Until this awakening. Luosa cast a puzzled glance around the Blood Sea—nothing was there, nothing had happened. With a slight calculation, his expression altered drastically.
One hundred thousand years! Someone in the Burial Earth was prying open the demonic coffin where his true body slumbered!
Ecstasy flared in Luosa's eyes, but an instant later his gaze went blank as he plunged back into the Blood Sea, gathering all his consciousness into his Demonic Zombie Body, awaiting the day he would see the light once more!
After waiting like this for half a day, the movement outside the demonic coffin suddenly ceased. With a start, Luosa projected his divine sense out of the coffin, only to see a young girl sitting with her knees pulled to her chest, weeping bitterly.
"That big jerk of a senior sister actually banished me to this ghost of a place, wahhhhh..."
