The Bear Clan's settlement was noticeably much more picturesque than the Antelope Tribe's, looking from a distance like a proper village. Three sides were enclosed by log walls, with the back leaning against a steep cliff. A watchtower stood on each side of the main gate, though no bears were stationed there on guard duty; they looked more like decorative fixtures. As the two drew closer, the outline of the Bear Clan settlement became increasingly distinct. Weeds grew thickly along the base of the city walls, suggesting they had not been cleared away for quite some time.
