Xu Qinghuan followed Jiang Xingye up a winding path. After walking for about two hours, they rounded a cliff and saw a field of golden wheat, spanning a dozen mu or so. There was also a fish pond, with various fruit trees planted along its banks. Heading toward the mountain peak, several terraced fields had been carved out to grow medicinal herbs, among which was wild ginseng. Mountain mist drifted gently through the air. Hearing the commotion, a few wild wolves emerged from a cave. Upon seeing the two of them, they lazily shook their grey fur and went back inside to lie down.
