It is only now that he realizes the Great Sage's intent root has all along been hidden by Erlangshen inside this very eye... "Rulai! I've heard people say this demon is related to you!" These words come from Chapter 77, "The Multitude of Demons Pervert True Nature; All in One Bow to True Thusness." This recounts how, at Shihuan Ridge, Rulai, accompanied by Bodhisattvas Manjusri and Samantabhadra, subdued the Azure Lion, the White Elephant, and the Golden-Winged Great Peng.
