They stepped into the main building, and An Xiaoni was struck with wonder by the luxurious interior; it felt like a dreamworld detached from reality. The living room had a soaring ceiling, with a giant crystal chandelier casting a brilliant glow. Beneath her feet, a thick, soft Persian rug featured an exquisite pattern. On one side stood Italian leather sofas paired with mahogany end tables, upon which sat an intricate set of pure silver tea ware. On the other side, a floor-to-ceiling window spanned the entire wall; soundproofed and sun-shielded, it offered a magnificent view of the mountains, framed by noble, deep-blue velvet curtains. The pure copper handrail of the staircase was polished to a shine. An Xiaoni glanced upward. The room at the very end of the third floor on the east side was his bedroom; she was not allowed to go there. Standing where she was now, she couldn't see it anyway. She wondered if the man had woken up yet. The kitchen needed to have breakfast ready before he rose. Even from the living room, she could already smell the aroma wafting from the kitchen.
