Compared to the universe, she was nothing at all. Yet, a second thought arose: why must one compare oneself to the cosmos? The ancients said: "If we observe things from the perspective of their changes, then heaven and earth cannot endure for a single blink; if we observe them from the perspective of their changelessness, then both things and self are inexhaustible. So why should we envy anything?"
