Chapter 8

1,344 words7 minutes read

"Don't touch my things!" "That’s mine!!"
Watching Zhao Dachuan rummage through his toolbox and leave it in a complete mess, the veterinarian, Chen San, jumped up and started shouting.
Zhao Dachuan, annoyed by his noise, roared back at him, "Shut up! If you make another sound, I’ll crush you!"
Seeing Zhao Dachuan acting so wildly, combined with his fierce expression and eyes that looked as if they could devour a man, the veterinarian was terrified into silence, not daring to utter another word.
Everyone around them stared at Zhao Dachuan in astonishment. Ever since Zhao Dachuan had become simple-minded, he had been timid and submissive. How had he suddenly become so ferocious?
Ignoring their wild speculations, Zhao Dachuan paid them no mind and picked out a few needles he deemed barely acceptable.
"Brother Pig! There are no silver acupuncture needles, so I’ll have to use these instead to give you your treatment. Bear with it for a moment!"
With that, Zhao Dachuan began jabbing the needles into the pig.
This unprecedented method of treatment left the veterinarian, Chen San, and Zhu Dapang completely dumbfounded. Good heavens! Was there even such a thing as this kind of treatment? This wasn't just nonsense; it was absolute madness!
Seeing this, Zhu Dapang and his lackeys could no longer hold back their laughter, and they began to jeer:
"Impressive! Simply impressive! Sticking needles into a pig is even more absurd than a shaman’s ritual!"
"Boss! You can’t say that. Maybe this is the high-class medical skill of an elite student!"
"Hahaha... I suppose it’s the medical skill of a fool!"
The three of them roared with laughter, clutching their sides.
"Nonsense! This is pure nonsense! The poor pig is already sick, and now it has to suffer through this!" The veterinarian, Chen San, was so angry he looked like an old man with bristling whiskers.
Zhang Ting felt a sense of disappointment. She had firmly believed in Zhao Dachuan, but she never expected things to end up like this.
However—
As soon as Zhao Dachuan finished inserting the needles, the sick pig suddenly began to wail and howl, spraying a torrent of feces and urine directly onto Zhu Dapang and his two employees.
"Ah! Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey..." "What is this? Pig shit and piss! My god!!" "It stinks to high heaven!!!"
Those with foul mouths tend to receive such treatment. Truly, there is justice in the world.
Zhang Ting, who had been on the verge of disappointment, widened her eyes in disbelief, staring at the scene before her. She had thought that after Zhao Dachuan’s reckless meddling, her pig was as good as dead. She never in her wildest dreams imagined that such a situation would unfold!
It seemed... it seemed that Zhao Dachuan had actually used this bizarre method to help the sick pig take a turn for the better.
And that was exactly the case. After being "cleared out" by Zhao Dachuan, the pig’s complexion had improved slightly. But that was only the beginning. Just as Zhu Dapang and his men were wiping the filth from their faces, another jet of pig waste sprayed onto them.
"Ah!? Again!?" "Ptooey, ptooey, ptooey... I actually swallowed some pig urine!!" "Damn it all! What is going on here!?"
Zhu Dapang and his men shrieked repeatedly. It was as if the wicked were getting their due, as they were drenched in the pig’s waste. The sick pig had now expelled all the water that had been forced into its stomach and began to show signs of life, letting out a soft groan.
This scene left the veterinarian, Chen San, stunned. He stared at the unfolding events in disbelief:
"No... that’s impossible! This isn’t scientific!?" "This isn’t science, it’s Traditional Chinese Medicine! You really are ignorant," Zhao Dachuan said with a disdainful glance.
"Traditional Chinese Medicine!! Can Traditional Chinese Medicine even be applied to animals!?"
As a practitioner of Western medicine, Chen San was completely won over by Zhao Dachuan. He no longer interrupted, but instead, like an eager student, quietly watched Zhao Dachuan treat the remaining sick pigs.
Zhao Dachuan ignored him, kneading the pig's belly and massaging it for several minutes.
"Alright! If you follow what I’ve taught you, you’ll be able to help the rest of these pigs, who only suffer from mild poisoning, recover," Zhao Dachuan said, pulling out the needles and dusting off his hands.
No sooner had he finished speaking than the previously dying pig stood up as if nothing had ever been wrong. It looked full of energy! It stood in stark contrast to the other ninety-nine pigs lying paralyzed on the ground. The visual impact was profound.
The two farmhands couldn't help but exclaim:
"It’s healed! It was actually cured by Zhao Dachuan!?" "This... this is too incredible!!" "Boss, Zhao Dachuan is amazing!"
Even the veterinarian, Chen San, couldn't help but marvel: "Acupuncture and massage, and he actually cured the pig! Is Traditional Chinese Medicine that powerful!? I thought it was a dying art!?"
Watching the pig jumping around, Chen San felt his worldview shattered. It seemed that Traditional Chinese Medicine was no less effective than the Western medicine he had studied!
"No... this can’t be!? This is impossible!!" Zhu Dapang also cried out in shock. He had personally verified the power of the slimming powder; when taken in large doses, it had a ninety percent mortality rate. That was exactly why he had used it to sabotage Zhang Ting.
Zhang Ting was overcome with excitement and joy:
"What’s impossible!? Hmph! Zhao Dachuan is amazing!" "Alright! Let’s hurry and treat the rest of these pigs! Brother Zhao Dachuan, tell us, how should we insert the needles and give the massages?"
"Wait!!"
Zhao Dachuan interrupted the eager Zhang Ting and said, "It’s alright! These pigs can hold on for another half a day; there’s no need to rush. What we need to do now is drag out the culprit who caused your pigs to fall 'ill' in the first place!"
As he spoke, Zhao Dachuan walked coldly toward Zhu Dapang.
Zhang Ting had always cared for him like a sister, sharing whatever good food she had with Zhao Dachuan’s family. Especially after Zhao Dachuan lost his wits, she would often bring him home for meals and provide fresh clothes for him and Wu Xiaohua. In Zhao Dachuan’s heart, although Zhang Ting wasn't a blood relative, their bond was more important than family.
And this time, not only had Zhu Dapang schemed to make Zhang Ting owe sixty thousand yuan, but he had also tried to kill off all the pigs she had worked so hard to raise, intending to make her lose everything! Such shameless behavior filled Zhao Dachuan with fury.
"Zha... Zhao Dachuan! What are you trying to do!?"
Seeing the murderous Zhao Dachuan walking toward him, Zhu Dapang’s legs shook uncontrollably, his heart filled with terror.
"What do you think?"
Zhao Dachuan gave a cold laugh and exposed Zhu Dapang’s despicable plot in front of everyone:
"Sister Ting worked hard to raise these pigs, investing every penny she had, only to run into a freak like you! To force her to marry you, you put excessive amounts of slimming powder into the feed. It stopped the hundred pigs from growing and poisoned their stomachs, nearly killing them all!! Bullying Sister Zhang Ting like this—your crimes are unforgivable!!"
With that, Zhao Dachuan rolled up his sleeves.
These words immediately made Zhang Ting realize what had happened, and she questioned Zhu Dapang: "Zhu Dapang! Is what Zhao Dachuan said true!?"
The shameless Zhu Dapang immediately denied it: "No! The feed I sold is perfectly fine! Zhao Dachuan! You... you’re slandering me!"
Zhao Dachuan couldn't be bothered to waste any more breath on scum like Zhu Dapang. Without another word, he clenched his fist and swung it hard at him.
Zhao Dachuan’s fist, as large as a sandbag, slammed into Zhu Dapang’s face.
"Ah!!!"
The wretched Zhu Dapang let out a miserable shriek after taking the punch and was sent flying like a stray dog.
