Hao Qi explained his plan to Lan Linger and the others, and they largely agreed with it. After all, the eleven city blocks were tiny, and they had already thoroughly explored them without finding any way to leave the Outer Fragment. It seemed that to finally leave this Outer Fragment, they had to enter the castle. Their only concern was the fantastic Tyrant-class Creature inside the castle—the very existence that had nearly prevented Puzhi from escaping. Therefore, it was clear they needed to devise both an exploration plan and an escape plan... Meanwhile, inside the castle, a large number of monsters wandered aimlessly. One skeleton roamed the castle corridors with no particular destination. Suddenly, it seemed to sense something. The corridor was filled with pitch-black rooms and dark hollows. It moved forward following this sensation. The skeleton had no vision; it could only perceive sound, vibrations, and a certain special resonance with living beings. Yet there was no life here, save for the monsters native to the castle, so it resumed its aimless wandering. In a hollow the skeleton passed, a massive pile of human bones littered the floor. Some of the bones were still clad in clothing, specifically advanced combat protective gear. On the wrist of one skeleton, a communication device emitted a faint buzzing static. It was this sound that had drawn the nearby skeleton.
