From the middle of the residential community onward, apartment buildings collapsed in a continuous chain. But that was not all; between the middle and the rear sections, the corpses of two Ranked Creatures lay where they had fallen—one a massive serpent-like Ranked Creature, and the other a round, multi-limbed creature of indescribable shape. Both beasts were reduced to mere corpses, their sharp fangs still locked in each other's flesh, evidently having fought to the bitter end and perished together.
As if that were not enough, the area surrounding the two Ranked Creatures was densely strewn with the severed limbs and remains of human beings. Ranked Creatures acted purely out of mindless brutality; they would tear each other to pieces upon sight, yet amidst their slaughter, they would likewise devour and destroy any humans they encountered. This entire community had already been turned into a river of blood, completely filled with human remains...
"Older brother, older brother! Hold on! Sister-in-law is probably fine, look at how many people are alright... I'll go take a look!"
