Walking side by side down the street, Itachi and Hiatohi chatted away about this and that. Hiatohi did most of the talking while Itachi listened, creating a thoroughly harmonious atmosphere. Kakashi simply tagged along, though one thing bothered him: none of the usual crowd, not even Gai, were anywhere to be seen.
Night had already fallen, and the three of them were still strolling. Hiatohi checked the time and figured it was about right. "Say, Hatake-san, let's head home."
"Heading back already? You didn't even go for Ichiraku Ramen today." Kakashi found that a bit odd. She was acting very strange today; dinner time had come and gone without a single visit to Ichiraku, nor had she eaten at all. Was she not hungry?
