Wu Xifa took off his military cap, rubbed his bald head, and laughed sheepishly. He then led his men off to locate the artillery. Those were Type 92 infantry guns; the military sub-district's artillery battalion only had four of them, and his own regiment had only two mortars. If they could really get their hands on two of those guns, they would be able to strike the Japanese pillboxes and strongholds however they pleased from then on.
Qi Daozhen explained, "Old Wu suffered a head injury during a battle a while back. The shrapnel was never removed, so sometimes his mind doesn't quite work right. Don't mind him."
Qin Shuli watched the shiny-headed Battalion Commander Wu sprinting away with his men, his feet moving rapidly, and for a moment, he didn't know what to say.
