He instinctively took a half-step back, terrified that Chiyan’s tears might smear his robes. "Enough!" Murong Ke snapped. "You are the commander of the dark guards! Have you no shred of dignity left?" Chiyan acted as if he hadn't heard a word, sobbing even harder. "Your Highness! You have no idea what I’ve been through these past few days! I turned over every mountain for a hundred miles—I didn’t even spare the rabbit burrows!"
