After sneaking into my bedroom on tiptoe, the old woman began rummaging through chests and cabinets like an eager rat. Her hands trembled slightly with anxiety, and her eyes were filled with longing and madness. Clothes were tossed everywhere, drawers were yanked open roughly, and their contents scattered across the floor. Though hurried, the old woman remained cautious, constantly watching her surroundings for any movement, terrified of being discovered. As time passed, a fine film of sweat broke out on the old woman's forehead, but she showed no intention of stopping. She kept telling herself in her mind that she had to find that item—she wanted revenge.
