Over the past few days, the bustling sounds of palace servants working outside the Cold Palace occasionally drifted to my ears. Noisy and incessant, they battered against the desolate walls of the Cold Palace like relentless waves. Those sounds felt like a series of urgent reminders, telling me that the grand celebration was drawing near. By chance, in a dim corner of the Cold Palace, I discovered a dilapidated paper kite. It lay there quietly, covered in dust, as if ruthlessly forgotten by time. Its ragged appearance stirred an involuntary surge of pity in my heart. I slowly picked it up, handling it as gently as if I were touching a priceless treasure. The moment I grasped it, I felt as though I held a faint yet infinitely precious hope. "This kite might just become my turning point," I murmured softly.
