"Double Pupils!"
Qin Feng was stunned, an involuntary gasp escaping his lips. This was a legendary status trait! Double Pupils... the very symbol of a born overlord among the Human Race. To call such a person a Supreme of the era would be no exaggeration. In that instant, Qin Feng’s heart raced.
Beside him, Qin Zhantian laughed, unaware of his brother's thoughts. "Sixth Brother, your ranking doesn't matter. Even if you don't earn a technique, I’ll secure an Emperor-grade technique for you. Let’s just focus on the experience."
He kept a close watch on Qin Feng, who had been staring intently at the Myriad Heaven Stele, fearing the boy might be tempted to do something reckless. After all, a mere Qi Condensation Realm cultivator... if it weren't for his status as a prince of Xianqin, he wouldn't even have met the basic requirements to enter the Scripture Pavilion.
"I understand, Eldest Brother. I know my own limits and won't do anything foolish," Qin Feng said, nodding as his eyes flickered with intensity.
"Good, good. My Sixth Brother is calm and composed—a true model for us all," Qin Zhantian said, his face full of relief. But before he could finish his sentence, Qin Feng’s next words left him completely bewildered.
"Getting first place shouldn't be too hard. But if I surpass the Great Emperor, will I get a beating?"
*What? First place? Surpass the Great Emperor?*
Qin Zhantian felt a wave of dizziness. He nearly lost his footing, stumbling as if about to collapse. He forced a bitter smile. His brother was far too blindly arrogant. That was something not even he dared to imagine! Qin Shi Huang was the Great Emperor of the Human Race, the supreme Human Sovereign of Xianqin, who had swept through the myriad races to carve out a territory for humanity. He was a figure of unparalleled greatness—how could anyone surpass him?
Moreover, even in his youth, Qin Shi Huang had been terrifyingly strong, storming the Scripture Pavilion and crushing the ancient geniuses of that age to claim the top spot. Even Qin Zhantian wouldn't dare compare himself to his father, yet his younger brother spoke so recklessly about outshining him. It was simply too arrogant!
Nearby, a group of geniuses looked toward Qin Feng, their eyes filled with disdain.
"Does he even deserve to aim for first? He’s just a Qi Condensation ant. I could take on a hundred of him without breaking a sweat."
"Hah, he thinks knowing how to cultivate makes him some peerless expert? He’s clearly used to being pampered and has no idea how pathetic he really is."
"Hahaha! The Sixth Prince really is a newborn calf that knows no fear. Just wait and see how he makes a fool of himself in a moment!"
....
The geniuses laughed at Qin Feng. Even the likes of Meng Wushuang shook their heads, looking at him as if he were a fool.
"Hahaha, it’s hilarious! A mere Qi Condensation ant wanting to take first place? If you can take first, then sows could climb trees!" Su Yuan roared with laughter, clutching his stomach, his face twisted in mockery.
The other geniuses wore strange expressions. They had been whispering among themselves, but Su Yuan was mocking him openly. Initially, some had looked on with contempt, thinking Su Yuan was courting death, but upon recalling his background, they decided to sit back and enjoy the show.
The mocking laughter caught Qin Feng’s attention.
*Su Yuan, the second young master of the Su Family.*
As Qin Feng looked at him, memories etched deep in his soul flashed before his eyes, and his intent to kill surged! This man was Su Qingwan’s younger brother. In the original plot, Su Yuan was rotten to the core; he loved to seize women by force and humiliate them in front of their husbands. Worse, he frequently committed atrocities using Qin Feng’s name.
Qin Feng knew the story. The reason everyone at the Myriad Laws Convention believed Su Qingwan and doubted Qin Feng was because this monster had ruined his reputation. That very day, hundreds of women in mourning clothes had wept and pointed at Qin Feng, calling him the most wicked man in the world. Every word had been a dagger, every cry a testament of blood, turning Qin Feng into a pariah whom everyone wanted to destroy. This was, indirectly, one of the reasons for Qin Feng’s eventual descent into darkness.
"Yo, Qin Feng, I didn't expect you to be able to cultivate now. But given your current status, you’re still far from worthy of pursuing my sister. Don't think that just because you’re engaged, you can act however you please."
Su Yuan’s eyes met Qin Feng’s, and for a split second, he felt a shiver run down his spine. But then he remembered Qin Feng’s realm—nothing more than Qi Condensation—and he suddenly stopped feeling afraid. Besides, would Qin Feng actually dare to hit him? In the past, Qin Feng had been obsequious toward him, even offering him treasures just to curry favor.
"The show is about to start."
"Do you think the Sixth Prince will back down in a moment?"
"He’s Su Qingwan’s brother, after all. With the Sixth Prince’s sycophantic personality, he definitely won't dare provoke Su Yuan; he’ll probably even start groveling and talking in a low voice."
The group of geniuses watched Qin Feng, eagerly waiting for him to humiliate himself. They had always disliked him. What did a worthless prince have to be proud of? He only had a good birth. Now that he could cultivate, his sudden arrogance made them feel incredibly uncomfortable.
"Sixth Brother..." Qin Zhantian opened his mouth, wanting to reprimand Su Yuan, but his hand moved hesitantly, and he eventually gave up. In the past, Qin Feng had gotten into a massive argument with him over Su Qingwan, leading to two or three years of silence between them—a painful memory for someone who valued family ties as much as Qin Zhantian.
Qin Feng said nothing. Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, he walked up to Su Yuan.
"What did you just say?"
His voice was flat, devoid of anger or joy. Yet, to Su Yuan’s ears, it sounded like a thunderous bell, leaving him dizzy and disoriented.
"I said you are a wast—" Su Yuan began.
*SLAP!*
A loud, crisp sound echoed through the hall, leaving everyone stunned. Even Qin Zhantian stood frozen in place. The slap was sharp and melodious. Su Yuan was sent flying, crashing into a stone pillar before rolling onto the floor, clutching his cheek and wailing in pain. Several teeth were knocked out, blood sprayed from his mouth, and half his face swelled up instantly. He looked ridiculous, no different from a pig’s head.
Su Yuan screamed, pointing a finger at Qin Feng. "Qin Feng! You dare hit me?!"
His face was a mask of shock and disbelief. "You actually dared to lay a hand on me?! I am your future brother-in-law! You don't cherish me, and yet you dare to hit me!"
