Chapter 1

Xuanming Continent is divided into the Northern Realm and the Southern Boundary. Mo Lihuan, the Lord of the Northern Realm, and Bai Ying, the Lord of the Southern Boundary, are like oil and water; they cannot stand the sight of each other.
In the Xuanyou Palace of the Northern Realm, the Lord reclined on his throne. He was dressed in black robes embroidered with intricate gold patterns. Supporting his head with one hand, he kept his eyes half-closed. Below him, two high-ranking officials were embroiled in a heated argument.
The two officials had completely abandoned their dignity, looking as though they were on the verge of pulling each other’s hair out. Had they not been afraid that the stench of their feet would offend the Lord, they might well have resorted to a "foul-air attack."
Leng Zhou, watching the two bicker, cast a helpless glance toward his Lord, wearing an expression that looked more pained than a cry. *My Lord, could we at least pretend to pay attention? These two are practically tearing the roof off the palace, and you are just sitting there looking completely indifferent!*
*Sigh!*
It was not known how much time had passed before the shouting in the hall finally subsided. The man slowly opened his eyes and looked down at the two men. With chiseled features, sharp, arching brows, thin lips pressed into a line, and an indifferent gaze, he looked down at them coldly and arched a brow. "Are you finished?"
The two officials subconsciously swallowed, their faces filled with dread. They exchanged a silent look; it seemed they had provoked the Lord.
Just as they opened their mouths to speak, a sound that seemed to come from the heavens pierced the ears of everyone present.
"Ah!!!"
A shrill, blood-curdling female scream echoed above the great hall. Everyone looked up in unison. The secret guards hidden in the shadows reacted instantly, but all they heard was a chaotic crashing sound. Roof tiles rained down, dust billowed, and the spot where the ceiling had been smashed open...
Uh...
It appeared to be exactly where the man was sitting on the throne...
The man looked up.
The weightless sensation of a rapid freefall caused Murong Yunsheng to scream uncontrollably, "Ah!!!"
*Mom, save me!*
*That guy, Chiyun, never told me that my Spirit Power would vanish the moment I reached another world! And the connection between us feels like it's been severed—what kind of nightmare is this?!*
But it seemed Heaven did not hear her plea.
...
The next second.
"Bang!!!"
Everyone in the hall was stunned for a moment. Once they snapped out of it, they scrambled toward the dais. "Lord!!!"
"Lord!!!"
"..."
...
On the throne, the man who should have been the epitome of grace was buried under a pile of debris. Atop him lay a woman in strange clothing, sprawled out. Both of them had passed out cold.
The news that the dignified Lord of the Northern Realm, Mo Lihuan, had been knocked unconscious by a woman falling from the sky spread rapidly across the entire Xuanming Continent.
...
A full day passed before Mo Lihuan woke up.
"Lord? Lord?" Leng Sui knelt beside the bed, waving a hand in front of that handsome face. But Mo Lihuan’s eyes were blank, as if he had lost his soul, and he showed no reaction.
Thinking his Lord had been knocked silly, Leng Sui sniffled and immediately burst into loud sobs.
"Waaaah, Lord, don't scare me like this! You mustn't have anything happen to you!"
"If something happens to you, how am I supposed to go on?! My poor, pitiful Lord!"
"Ah!!!"
Mo Lihuan: "..."
His brow twitched violently. He shoved Leng Sui aside with a look of utter disgust and rose from the bed. His face dark and gloomy, he spoke in a frigid tone, "Which death-wish-seeking fool was it that crushed me?"
A chilling aura radiated from his body.
Leng Zhou, who stood to the side, more composed than the others, replied, "Lord, it was a woman. She has already been locked in the dungeon."
Mo Lihuan’s expression was as black as the bottom of a pot. He gritted his teeth. "Good. Very good. Bring her to me."
His teeth ground together with a grating sound. He wanted to see exactly what kind of suicidal woman would dare to crush him. Moreover, the entire Xuanyou Palace was protected by arrays; outsiders could not enter. That woman...
Leng Zhou replied, "Yes, Lord."
He couldn't help but light a mental incense stick for the woman in the dungeon. *Sigh! May you be blessed with good fortune!*
...
Meanwhile, elsewhere.
In the dark and damp dungeon, the air was freezing, and occasionally, unidentifiable creatures scurried past in the shadows.
The woman lay sprawled on a bed of hay, her face smudged with dirt. She wore a tight-fitting T-shirt under a leather jacket, the form-fitting clothes highlighting her curvy silhouette.
A moment later, the woman slowly opened her eyes. They were beautiful and shimmering, yet they carried a chilling, bone-deep intensity. She rose from the ground and scanned her surroundings.
"Damn it, what is this place?"
Gloomy and eerie. Had she been treated with such inhumanity the moment she arrived in this different world?
A different world...
"Chiyun, Chiyun, are you there?"
"Stop shouting. You're going to wake me up from my nap," an impatient voice sounded in the dungeon.
Hearing Chiyun’s voice, Murong Yunsheng finally breathed a sigh of relief. *Thank goodness.*
"What on earth happened? I remember you didn't tell me our connection would be severed. Do you know I almost turned into a meat patty?"
Chiyun rolled his eyes in silence. "An accident. A total accident."
Murong Yunsheng: "..."
Her eyes twitched. *An accident that only happens once in a lifetime? Once it's gone, it's gone?*
...
After silently cursing Chiyun for a while, she said, "Forget it. Let's talk business. Which continent is this?"
Chiyun: "It should be the Xuanming Continent."
"Oh? So it's the Xuanming Continent, is it?" Murong Yunsheng chuckled lightly, then added, "Not in the scope of my considerations."
Chiyun: "..."
Chiyun: "So, where do you plan to start?"
"I don't know yet. Let's see how things go first. But those people who harmed me back then—not a single one of them will escape." Murong Yunsheng said coldly.
*Central Continent, I've returned.*
*Are you all ready?*
...
Murong Yunsheng, of course, had not forgotten the current situation. She asked casually, "So, why am I here?"
Chiyun: "You fell and landed on someone, knocked them out, and their subordinates threw you into this dungeon. It's that simple."
Murong Yunsheng pouted. "How stingy."
To throw a weak, severely injured woman into this dark dungeon—*sigh*, they didn't know the first thing about being gentle with the fairer sex.
*Tsk, tsk, tsk!*
If Chiyun had heard what Murong Yunsheng was thinking, he definitely would have rolled his eyes with utter speechlessness. *Gentle with the fairer sex?*
...
Just then, Chiyun spoke, "Someone's coming."
Murong Yunsheng sneered, "They’ve come quickly. It’s a pity I don't have the time to tangle with them."
Of course, she wasn't entirely heartless; since she had injured someone, she would naturally take responsibility.
She took out some paper and a brush, scrawled a few large characters, and left behind some medicinal pills for healing before making her graceful departure.
With a slight shift of her focus, she vanished into thin air, reappearing a split second later several hundred meters outside the dungeon.
