Although they appeared to treat everyone the same, it was clear that they were more reluctant to part with Feng Xi. After bidding farewell to City Lord Hu, the group continued their journey. Once they had cleared the no-fly zone, everyone summoned their flying skiffs and sped toward Turtleback Mountain. It was Feng Xi’s first time riding a flying skiff, but having seen airplanes before, she found it nothing particularly exotic—it was merely a different method of propulsion. Though Qin Shifeng’s impression of Feng Xi had shifted, he remained distant; after a brief exchange of pleasantries, he went off to meditate. While Jun Wen and Xing Wu were at odds, Feng Xi acted as a mediator, allowing them to at least hold a conversation. The journey went smoothly, and that day, the skiffs arrived at Turtleback Mountain.
