Soon, Halloween Eve arrived. The teachers began preparing for the Halloween feast early in the morning, and the students whispered excitedly about the banquet that evening.
By the time afternoon classes ended, Alistair went down to the Great Hall with the Weasley twins. They saw a flock of bats fluttering across the walls and ceiling, along with patches of dark clouds swirling and dancing above the dining tables. Countless carved pumpkin lanterns were placed along the tables, flickering as they were caught in the drafts stirred by the bats and clouds.
Delicious dishes began to appear bit by bit on the golden platters, gradually filling the entire length of the tables.
