After Alistair and Professor Snape emerged from the fireplace in the Headmaster's Office, Dumbledore was not there.
Professor Snape immediately turned on his heel and strode out of the office, with Alistair following closely behind. They walked all the way down to the dungeons until Professor Snape unlocked the door to the Potions Office.
