During his time at Hogwarts, aside from attending classes and doing homework, Alistair spent most of his time studying and daydreaming, occasionally researching prank items with the Weasley twins.
Feeling quite bad about how Percy had lost his pet Scabbers the last time because of him, Alistair ultimately decided to follow Sirius Black's approach from the books and sent Percy a new owl. Unsure of what kind of owl Percy would like, he picked one that wasn't particularly lively.
One day, while staring blankly out the window, Alistair suddenly recalled the plot of Harry Potter, which led him to remember his mission for this semester: getting his hands on Rowena Ravenclaw's Diadem.
